Energy efficiency impact growth differently at different points of productivity distribution Data Envelopment Analysis (IEA) is used and quantile regression for panel data estimates show relationship between energy efficiency and economic growth during 1993-2013 with global data. At the global level, different countries have been experiencing different levels of energy efficiency and are in diverse junctures of their economic energy efficiency policies. Impact of energy efficiency improvement is relatively higher for countries with very low or very high level of technological innovation and relatively lower for countries with medium level of technological innovations.
