This policy describes the current Smart Energy Center website at smartscenter.org and its local development version. Smart Energy Center provides energy information and accepts service enquiries. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@smartscenter.org.

Information you choose to provide

Forms ask for your name, email, service interest, city or town, state, ZIP code and project details. Callback requests also ask for a phone number and preferred time. Other fields depend on the request type. We use these details to read and respond to your enquiry or correction. Do not include passwords, financial details or unnecessary sensitive information. The form is not a newsletter subscription.

Technical information and essential functions

The web server may record technical request information, including IP addresses, request paths and timestamps, for operation and troubleshooting. WordPress uses authentication cookies for signed-in administrators. Complianz stores cookie preferences so the site can remember your choice.

Opening an article creates a random first-party reader identifier, stored for up to 30 days. If you rate an article, a hashed version of that identifier is stored with the article ID, score and timestamp to reduce duplicate votes. Ratings are not linked to contact form submissions. Clearing cookies or changing devices can remove duplicate-vote protection.

Advertising and analytics

No advertising or analytics scripts are configured in this initial site. Site Kit is installed but not connected to a Google account. If analytics or advertising services are added, this policy and the consent configuration must be updated before they are enabled.

Messages, storage and access

Service requests are stored as private enquiries in WordPress, accessible to site administrators, and sent through the configured mail system. The stored record includes the submitted details, request type and confirmation of privacy consent. In local development, messages are captured by a local mail testing service and are not delivered to external recipients. Production mail handling and retention must be set by the operator before public launch.

Access to administrative data is restricted to authorized operators. Data should be retained only while needed for the relevant enquiry, site operation or applicable obligations. We do not sell contact messages or rating records.

Your choices

You can change cookie preferences using the control in the footer. You can also contact info@smartscenter.org to ask about information you submitted or request correction or deletion. Please provide enough context to identify your enquiry; do not send identity documents unless specifically needed through an appropriate channel.
